Your videos stay
under your control.
MOV to MP4 is developed by Zakariya. It converts selected videos using Apple’s on-device frameworks. There is no app backend, account, advertising, third-party analytics, tracking or remote conversion service. The developer does not receive your videos through the app.
Videos and conversion
The app processes only files you choose through system Photos or Files interfaces or drag into the app. Your original is not modified. Conversion creates an MP4 in the app’s temporary workspace before you save it. Re-encoding may change quality, metadata and specialist video features; keep the original when those matter.
Storage and deletion
Selected sources and conversion results are stored locally in an app-owned temporary workspace. Clearing the queue, removing failed items or discarding unsaved conversions attempts to delete those copies. Cleanup is also attempted when the workspace is destroyed. Crashes, force-quitting or operating-system behavior can leave temporary files; immediate secure deletion is not promised.
Outputs saved to Photos, Files or a Mac folder remain in that destination when you clear the queue or uninstall the app. Manage or delete saved videos through Photos, Files or Finder. System backups and cloud copies follow your chosen services’ behavior.
Permissions and sharing
The system Photos picker provides only videos you select without broad library-reading access. Save to Photos requests add-only authorization to create new videos. You may decline and save to Files instead. File access is scoped to system-selected sources and destinations.
Photos, iCloud and file providers may download originals or sync saved outputs according to your settings. A service receives a video when you explicitly share or save it there. Those services have their own privacy policies; the developer does not receive the video.
Purchases and diagnostics
Apple handles App Store payments; the app does not collect payment-card details. The app has no remote analytics or crash-reporting service. Apple may process usage, crash or transaction information according to its policies and your system settings.
Support
If you choose to contact support through GitHub, the developer and GitHub receive the information you submit. Issues are public. Do not upload videos, private file paths or sensitive personal information. Describe the error and your device/OS version instead. GitHub’s privacy policy applies to that service.
