Your photos stay
under your control.

HEIC to JPG is developed by Zakariya. The app converts images on your device. It has no account system, app backend, ads, third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. The developer cannot access your photos through the app.

Photos and conversion

The app processes only images you choose through system Photos or Files interfaces, or drop into the app. Conversion uses Apple’s on-device image frameworks. Images are not uploaded to the developer or an app conversion service. Original images are not modified. Converted JPEGs omit camera and location metadata while retaining image dimensions and orientation.

Local storage and deletion

The app copies selected sources into its private temporary workspace and creates temporary JPEGs before saving. Removing failed items or clearing the queue deletes app-owned copies and results on a best-effort basis. Cancelling a save discards the new unsaved conversion. Workspace cleanup is also attempted when it is destroyed. Force-quitting, crashes or operating-system behavior can leave temporary data until later cleanup; immediate secure deletion is not promised.

Saved images belong to your chosen Photos library or Files/folder destination. Clearing the app’s queue or uninstalling the app does not delete those saved outputs. Delete them through Photos, Files or Finder if you no longer want them. Uninstalling removes app-managed local storage according to the operating system’s behavior; separate saved files and system backups can remain.

Permissions and your choices

The system Photos picker lets you choose images without granting the app broad library-reading access. Choosing Save to Photos requests add-only permission to create new images in your library. You can decline and use Save to Files instead, or change the add permission in Settings. File access is limited to the sources and destinations you select through system interfaces.

Apple Photos, iCloud and other file providers may download originals or sync saved outputs according to your system settings and chosen destination. A sharing service receives an image only when you choose to share it. These services operate under their own policies; the developer does not receive the image.

Diagnostics and purchases

When rejecting an unsupported format, the app may write only the format identifier (for example, a PNG type identifier) to the local operating-system log. It does not write image contents, filenames or paths to that diagnostic. The app does not include its own remote analytics or crash-reporting service.

Apple handles App Store transactions under its own policies; the app does not collect payment-card details. Apple may also process diagnostic or usage information according to your device and App Store settings. Optional system diagnostic sharing can be managed in system settings. Information Apple makes available to developers is governed by those settings and Apple’s policies.

Support requests

If you choose to contact support through GitHub, GitHub and the developer receive the information you submit. Issues in the public support repository are publicly visible. Do not submit photos or sensitive personal information. Use a description of the error and your device/OS version instead. Manage your public issue content through GitHub; GitHub’s own privacy policy applies to its service.

Vercel processes standard web-request information, which may include your IP address, browser/user-agent information and the requested URL, to deliver and secure the site. Hosting logs may be available to the site operator through Vercel. Retention and processing are governed by Vercel’s services and policies; see Vercel’s Privacy Notice.

Opening a GitHub support link takes you to a separate service governed by GitHub’s Privacy Statement. No information is sent to GitHub merely by viewing this site’s locally hosted pages and images.

Questions and changes

For privacy questions, contact support through GitHub, remembering that issues are public. This policy will be updated if the app’s data practices change; the effective date above identifies this version.
